Students from the second year of ESO took on an intriguing project to investigate whether the phases of the moon influence birth rates. Working in groups, they researched birth dates among family and friends and matched them to the corresponding lunar phases. “We calculate the coincidences between all the lunar phases and observe that these had almost the same number of people. Thus, we came to the conclusion that the lunar phases have nothing to do with births,” the students explained.

Their project showcased teamwork, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry!
