El so nome cient\u00edficu ye <strong>Architeuthis Dux<\/strong> y tr\u00e1tase d&#8217;un afayu inusual, y\u00e1 que seg\u00fan esplica Luis Laria, presidente de la <strong>Coordinadora para l&#8217;Estudiu y Protecci\u00f3n de les Especies Marines (Cepesma)<\/strong>, \u201cesta especie tien escasa presencia en tol mundu. Eso s\u00ed, d&#8217;atopase, ye m\u00e1s probable que s\u00eda nel Cant\u00e1bricu y en Nueva Zelanda\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El Cepesma solo caltien 21 exemplares d&#8217;esta especie y una de les sos caracter\u00edstiques m\u00e1s rese\u00f1ables, seg\u00fan detalla Laria, ye&#8217;l considerable tama\u00f1u que puede algamar: dende los seis a los 17 metros. \u201cEsti x\u00e9neru presenta un dimorfismu sexual pronunci\u00e1u. El pesu m\u00e1ximu enval\u00f3rase en 312 kilogramos les femes y en 178 en machos\u201d, indica l&#8217;espertu, para a\u00f1edir que \u201clos machos tienen una vida m\u00e1s curtia que les femes y maurecen sexualmente m\u00e1s tempranamente\u201d. Asina, enval\u00f3rase que los machos viven en redol a un a\u00f1u y les femes d\u00f3blen-yos o tripliquen los a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Esta especie de calamar nun puede consumise pos \u201cye altamente t\u00f3xicu para&#8217;l ser humanu\u201d, y\u00e1 que tien un porcentaxe elev\u00e1u d&#8217;amoniacu na masa muscular.<\/strong> \u201cN\u00f3s na entid\u00e1 caltuvimos tolos calamares qu&#8217;apaecieron mientres los postreros 25 a\u00f1os\u201d, a\u00f1ede Laria.
