Una superaci\u00f3n por partida doble: primero, de los l\u00edmites sociales impuestos a la condici\u00f3n de mujer en su \u00e9poca, y segundo, de sus circunstancias personales originadas por un accidente en su ni\u00f1ez, cuando contaba 9 a\u00f1os, con una m\u00e1quina de cortar madera en el aserradero de su padre que le provoc\u00f3 la p\u00e9rdida de los brazos. Aquel trance la empuj\u00f3 sin embargo a una ejemplar historia de arrojo y tenacidad. Regina se empe\u00f1\u00f3 con toda su voluntad en no ser una mujer objeto de compasi\u00f3n, para convertirse en una mujer digna de admiraci\u00f3n: aprendi\u00f3 a servirse de sus pies para adquirir toda suerte de destrezas, logrando aprender a escribir, pintar, conducir, tirar al blanco, escribir a m\u00e1quina, tocar diversos instrumentos como el acorde\u00f3n el piano, el viol\u00edn o el xil\u00f3fono.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Debut\u00f3 como artista de variedades en 1917, con 19 a\u00f1os, y muy pronto empez\u00f3 a realizar giras por el extranjero, llegando a actuar en 43 pa\u00edses. Su dedicaci\u00f3n como artista tuvo adem\u00e1s una importante vertiente social con su proyecto \u201cSelecci\u00f3n\u201d, al que destinaba parte de los ingresos de sus actuaciones para costear los estudios de ni\u00f1os sin recursos de Luarca (Asturias).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>La contienda va a trastrocar la vida de Regina Garc\u00eda ya a que va a ser acusada de alta traici\u00f3n y espionaje por parte de los dos bandos.
