Tramontana (Viento del norte)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">Este viento procedente del norte incide sobre la costa de Catalu\u00f1a y de las islas Baleares. Los Pirineos sirven como zona de aceleraci\u00f3n, por lo que las rachas suelen ser fuertes y las temperaturas bajas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>2.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Gregal (Viento del noreste)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">Procede del noreste (45\u00ba) y es relativamente frecuente en Baleares. Se caracteriza por ser fr\u00edo y seco al venir de Europa. Su nombre lo acu\u00f1aron los marineros porque lo usaban en sus viajes hacia Grecia.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>3. Levante (Viento del este)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">Este tipo de viento en Espa\u00f1a viene desde el este (90\u00ba) y es com\u00fan en la costa del Mediterr\u00e1neo. Se le conoce por su alto grado de humedad y por ser especialmente fuerte en la zona del mar de Albor\u00e1n y en estrecho de Gibraltar.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>4. Siroco\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(Viento del sudeste)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">Tambi\u00e9n conocido como Xaloc, este viento procede del sureste (135\u00ba) y es seco y c\u00e1lido por la arena del S\u00e1hara que suele arrastrar. Este es el que provoca la conocida calima o polvo rojo en suspensi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>5. Ostro (Viento del sur)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">El viento ostro viene del sur (180\u00ba) y tambi\u00e9n se le conoce como viento del mediod\u00eda o\u00a0<em>midjorn\u00a0<\/em>en la zona del Mediterr\u00e1neo. Se caracteriza por ser c\u00e1lido y h\u00famedo, por lo que puede dejar lluvias.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>6. Lebeche\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(Viento del suroeste)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">Este es el viento del suroeste (225\u00ba) y es el causante de las borrascas del oc\u00e9ano Atl\u00e1ntico durante la primavera y el oto\u00f1o. En ocasiones puede arrastrar polvo en suspensi\u00f3n procedente del norte de \u00c1frica.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>7. Poniente\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(Viento del oeste)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">El viento de poniente o del oeste (270\u00ba) viene del Atl\u00e1ntico, por lo que afecta a ese lado de la pen\u00ednsula y suele tener mucha humedad que pierde seg\u00fan se adentra en Espa\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>8. Mistral\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(Viento del noroeste)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\">Tambi\u00e9n conocido como viento del cierzo, este procede del noroeste (315\u00ba).
