1.- FORMACIÓN DEL PLURAL
Añadiendo –s : dogs, apples, boys
Añadiendo –es ( palabras acabadas en ch, sh, s, ss, x) Matches, brushes, buses, glasses, boxes
Algunas palabras acabadas en –o tambien añaden –es: Tomatoes, potatoes.
Las palabras que acaban en consonante + y: cambian la y por i + es:
Baby → babies.
Las palabras que acaban en -f o en -fe cambian la -f/-fe por v + es:
wife → wives wolf→wolves
Plurales irregulares:
A man → two men
A foot → two feet |

2.- VERB TO BE (NEGATIVE) /VERBO TO BE (SER/ESTAR) NEGATIVA

La negativa del verbo to be se hace añadiendo NOT al verbo. Como en el modo afirmativo hay una forma completa y otra compacta, esta es la que usa habitualmente por economía lingüística.
am not / ‘m not is not /isn’t are not / aren’t

3.- TO BE + ADJECTIVE / TO BE + ADJETIVO
El adjetivo en inglés va delante del nombre.
NO tiene género (no tiene formas diferentes para masculino o femenino), NO cambia para hacer el plural.
Decimos green car→coche verde. Old man →hombre viejo |
green cars → coches verdes. Old men → hombres viejos |
No decimos car green , man old, cars greens, men olds… |
Usamos а/аn (un/una: artículo indefinido) con adjetivo + nombre singular: It’s аn expensive car. Es un coche caro
NO usamos a/an con nombres plurales, tampoco lo hacemos en castellano.
They are cheap →Son baratos. |
