Hello there!
We have just started Open World UNIT 13, In fashion, on trend. We have seen p.172 and Like/As on p.173. If you have not been able to attend our last lessons in person, here are the assignments for the upcoming classes.

   This is the LISTENING activity we did in class on Thursday 24th. The key is included.  Question 1 in this version is slightly different from the photocopy we used in class. Use this new one preferably, if you are going to listen again.

   AS/ LIKE. On Tuesday, we’ll also be correcting exercises 1 & 2 in the Grammar Reference section, page 231. Go through the explanations before doing the exercise.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
Next exam will take place on Tuesday 5th April: LISTENING, READING and WRITING.
This is the topic you’ll be asked to write about:

Write about a festival/ celebration/ feast day popular in Spain or any other place that may interest you. Explain what it is like, where and when it takes place, the kind of potential visitors it might attract, etc. Write about 180 words.

Try to organise your ideas and prepare the writing in advance.
This is going to be the last but one set of written papers to be taken into account for your final mark. Our last written exams we’ll be on May 5th.

Home assignments for week 15-17 March

We have started seeing Unit 12 ‘Let’s celebrate’. I have set the Listening exercise on page 161 for homework, which you can self correct with the key. Next Tuesday we are going to correct the grammar exercises on page 228 (Expressing obligation and permission


We have also been practising ‘So do I’, Neither do I, …’, which we’ll be revising on Tuesday.
