Discovering the mysterious legends of Oviedo on Halloween

Discovering the Mysterious Legends of Oviedo: A Project in 2nd Year of ESO

In our 2nd A and C ESO class, we embarked on a unique journey through the streets of Oviedo, exploring the city’s most enigmatic corners through its legends. Over the course of this project, my students became genuine tour guides, each leading us through a different route filled with mystery. They created PowerPoint presentations that narrated these fascinating stories, and we shared all their work on a Padlet board we created in class.

I invite everyone to visit our Padlet and discover, through my students’ eyes, the most mysterious and legendary side of Oviedo. I hope you enjoy these legends as much as we enjoyed creating this project!

Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi

(link to the presentation)

Persepolis the renown  autobiograhical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi, has been analysed by our 4ESO students.

The book depicts the author’s childhood and early adult years and  tells what the Iranian revolution was like and how it affected women’s rights. But… would the novel have been different if it had been written nowadays? And if it had been set in Europe in the 2020s?

Activity to honour this French-Iranian graphic novelist, film director, illustrator, Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities 2024.
