Jane Austen: 250th anniversary

In 2025, we have been commemorating the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen‘s birth. To honour her legacy, she was chosen as the central figure of  Women Writers’ Day celebration on October 13th at our school.  4th year ESO students from the habLE program designed the poster that decorated the school for this special occasion.

Then, after having read Emma and Pride and Prejudice,  they have imagined what would have happened if Jane Austen had lived in times of social media…

Roald Dahl’s Day

There’s no better way to start a new school year than diving into the magical world of Roald Dahl!

Our 2ESO students celebrated Roald Dahl Day by reading Matilda, taking creative photos with their favorite Dahl books from home, and even designing new book covers for some of his most famous stories.

It was a fun and inspiring way to honor one of the world’s most beloved storytellers — and to remind ourselves that reading can always spark imagination and joy!

Heroines of their own stories

Matilda‘s independence and intelligence, Jo March’s tenderness and determination, Katniss Everdeen‘s courage and maturity, Hermione Granger‘s honesty and sharpness,  Miss Marple‘s wit and sense of justice,  Elizabeth Bennet‘s self-respect and loyalty, Anna Frank‘s confidence and mental strength,.. Surely, heroines of their own stories, female literary characters worth being admired. Continue reading
