On February 1922 , Ulysses was published as a novel for the first time. And it had to be in Paris, not in Joyce´s own country, Ireland, where it was forbidden for being considered too obscene.

Widely labelled nowadays as one of the most important literary masterpieces of the 20th century, it also seems to be one of the least read books. In fact, not many readers are eager to start devouring such an experimental and dense tome. What is more, if they dare to, most of them have to give it up… James Joyce´s novel is said to be rather incomprehensible.
